Merton Park offers comfortable overnight accommodation to horse(s) and humans on their travels.

Sharing our home we can offer Transporters or Private travellers their own room(s) and clean bathroom/shower facilities.

Horses can be accommodated in either clean airy stables or yards and/or paddocks depending on availability. Check in after 3 pm-Check out by 9.30 am or by arrangement.

A 20m round yard and 20 X 60m sand arena also available for use if your horse needs to stretch its legs.

ADDITIONALLY we hire our facilities for CLINIC’s and ‘Trail Riders’ with the choice of camping or in-house accommodation. Contact directly for Quotation.

Located 4 minutes off the Hume Freeway at Violet Town (2 hours from Melbourne) we offer you a great location to relax before heading off to continue your journey.

* TRAIL RIDING OPTIONS: “Creamery Lane” – Country Dirt Level/non-rising Road – 14km return or “SawPit Gully Road” – Country Dirt climbing road – approx 22km return. EXTREME: STRATHBOGIE RANGES within riding distance or approx. 5 min Drive with Float.

*Photo shoots can be arranged on site at an additional Cost.

Lynne and jim helped me out with my horse that was hit by a train he need to to be stable and I didn’t have any were to lock him up. Unfortunately he was put to sleep and Lynne was so supportive and helpful through the whole processes of my greif and the love I had for my boy. In all my years around horse I have never come across a place that is so caring thoughtful and helpful would recommend Lynne and Jim to anyone that need just a rest stop. You won’t be disappointed xxx

Super establishment! Everything is clean and neat! Horse stalls were really nice and big, with high ceilings.

Lynne and Jim made us feel very welcome, and we look forward to going back for a visit!

For anyone needing a break from travelling down or up the Hume from Melbourne this is the place to stay! Just a short drive off the Hume and you will find a lovely farm with spotless stables, super safe yards, comfy beds, and best of all the most friendly little dog, appropriately named Little Dog. 🙂 Oh and a couple of pretty gorgeous humans as well called Lynne and Jim 🙂

I have not had the pleasure of sleeping over at Merton Park but I have been lucky enough to spend a wonderful day and evening there. I got to walk around the grounds which are well maintained and through the stables which are so clean I would be happy to sleep in them. You and your horses will be well looked after as the owners love what they do
